Das Wetter hier am Golf von Siam in Pattaya ist so wunderschön, dass man es eigentlich
geniessen sollte. Die Ungewissheit, ob unser Haus und unser Sea Side View noch steht ist
schier unerträglich. Was mir am meisten Sorgen macht sind diese „storm surges“, Tsunami
ähnlichen Sturmwellen, die in Tacloban bis zu sechs Meter hoch waren und damit viele Leute
durch Ertrinken in den Tod gerissen haben. Unser Haus, keine Hundert Meter von der Küste
entfernt, ist davon wohl auch betroffen worden. Oder konnte die umliegende zwei Meter
hohe Schutzmauer diese Wellen aufhalten? Wohl kaum, Wasser hat eine solche Gewalt.
